The In Between
A look back at the experience, the people and the things that stayed with us.
I created The In Between for people who felt they’d been running on autopilot and wanted a few days to stop and think, with others who felt the same.
Over three nights at Lambourn House, we went for walks, shared meals and toured a farm in a Land Rover. There was time for proper conversations, time to ourselves and a chance to think about what might come next.

We each had our own bedroom in the shared house. There was dinner cooked by a private chef, games and time to ourselves as well as together. Everything was optional, so people could join in or take a break whenever they needed it.

A great weekend that was well hosted by James with a great group of people. Whether walking together, touring a farm in a Land Rover, or just simply cooking and eating together, deliberately taking the time to stop, reset and connect with people is a beautiful experience.

I was very apprehensive before arriving, but James made me feel welcome from the get-go. He showed me to my room and asked if there was anything I needed. I still joke that I was the favourite, as I got the only room with five beds and an en-suite.Alongside enjoying the activities and socialising, there was also plenty of space and time to chill and relax whenever I needed it. For anyone feeling stressed and considering one of these experiences, whether you need a break from work or home life, some distance from certain people, or time to recover from a difficult personal experience—I can’t recommend it enough.It’s clear how hard James worked to put this experience together, and I’m grateful he gave me the opportunity to take part. You can tell how much he cares about making these experiences happen, and I truly admire him for that.
