Updated 27 October 2026. This notice covers enquiries made from jamesajefferson.com and explains how they relate to the separate hosted-experience mailing list and travel bookings.

Who is responsible?

James A Jefferson, known publicly as James Jefferson and trading as Journeys by JJ, is responsible for the information you provide in an enquiry. For privacy questions, email hello@jamesajefferson.com. For travel enquiries, email journeysbyjj@ite.travel.

What an enquiry collects

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, the service or experience you’re interested in and a short message. Dates and approximate budget are optional. It also records the page or trip link you used so your enquiry has context.

Please don’t include passport details, payment information or medical information in this initial form.

How the information is used

Your information is used to answer your enquiry and discuss the trip or service you asked about. It is not a booking, a payment or a subscription to marketing messages.

General correspondence is handled on the basis of legitimate interests in responding to people who contact James. Where you ask for steps towards a booking, the relevant basis may be taking steps before entering a contract. Information is also handled where necessary to meet legal obligations.

Forms, email and storage

The form is hosted by Tally, which collects and stores responses on James’s behalf. James accesses responses and uses email services to reply and manage enquiries. Tally’s own privacy information describes its technical processing.

Enquiry information is retained while needed to respond, progress your request or keep appropriate correspondence and legal records. You can ask what is held and request deletion where applicable. Information is not sold or shared for another business’s independent marketing.

Mailing-list updates

The hosted-experience mailing list is separate and requires its own opt-in. Its email and optional WhatsApp updates, retention arrangements and unsubscribe options are explained in the hosted trips mailing-list privacy notice. Making an enquiry does not opt you into that list.

Travel bookings

If you proceed towards a booking, the relevant travel provider and Independent Travel Experts booking terms and privacy information will apply to that activity. The initial enquiry form is not intended to collect the detailed information required for booking.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your information, request a portable copy, or object to relevant processing. Contact hello@jamesajefferson.com. You can also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Website access and measurement

The current website uses an essential session cookie to keep the password preview unlocked for up to 12 hours. “Lock site” ends that session. No advertising or website analytics scripts have been added. Tally provides form-level visits and completion information, and form links can record their originating page or trip.

This page is available without the preview password so people using the enquiry form can read it.
