A LOOK BACK

The trips that made me
want to do more.

Past experiences

The In Between and Wrocław were different kinds of trips, but seeing people who hadn’t met before settle in and enjoy each other’s company was the part that stayed with me.

01 / A COUNTRYSIDE RESET

The In Between

A countryside reset in Berkshire · 25–28 September 2026

PAST EXPERIENCE

The In Between was created for people who felt they’d been running on autopilot and wanted a little space to pause, reflect and connect with others asking similar questions about life.

For three nights at Lambourn House, countryside walks, shared meals and a Land Rover farm safari gave us time to get to know each other. There was room for honest conversation, quiet time and thinking about what might come next.

Guests spoke about arriving apprehensive and feeling welcome, having space to relax, and how good it felt to stop, reset and connect. Seeing that happen was the part that stayed with me.

More about this trip

We each had our own bedroom in the shared house, with a private chef dinner, games and time for individual reflection and conversation together. All activities were optional, so people could join in or take some space whenever they needed it.

02 / A CITY BREAK

Wrocław with James

My first hosted city break · 2–5 October 2026

PAST EXPERIENCE

For my first hosted city break, we spent three nights in Wrocław, Poland, with the centrally located Art Hotel as our base.

We explored the Old Town with a local guide, tried Polish food and saw the city from the River Oder. The plans took us into its history and colourful neighbourhoods, with time for coffee stops and discoveries along the way.

I took care of the plans so people could settle in and enjoy themselves. Guests described a weekend that felt like friends on holiday, with new connections, shared memories and a wish to join another.

More about this trip

I arranged the travel and hotel, hosted throughout and brought the daily plans together in a digital itinerary. Optional experiences included a guided history museum visit and a Polish vodka tasting, alongside free time to explore independently.

FROM THE PEOPLE WHO CAME ALONG

The trips, in their words.

I was very apprehensive before arriving, but James made me feel welcome from the get-go.

… Alongside enjoying the activities and socialising, there was also plenty of space and time to chill and relax whenever I needed it.

SamThe In Between · Berkshire

Whether walking together, touring a farm in a Land Rover, or just simply cooking and eating together, deliberately taking the time to stop, reset and connect with people is a beautiful experience.

EthanThe In Between · Berkshire

Whilst I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, James made the whole weekend feel like a group of friends on holiday.

… I left having explored a new city, made new connections and friendships and most of all, created fun new memories. I’d absolutely book another trip again.

MattWrocław with James · Poland

Everything ran smoothly, and the itinerary was well paced, making the most of our time without feeling rushed.

… I’d never met seven of the other eight people, so there were a few nerves beforehand, but everyone got on really well from the start.

A NOTE FROM ME

Space to pause.
People to connect with.

JamesJamesYOUR HOST, AND THE PERSON MAKING THE PLANS.

Life can look full on paper and still leave you wanting time to think, something different to look forward to or people who understand where you are.

As I started making changes in my own life and sharing them online, I heard from people asking similar questions. I wanted to give those conversations somewhere to go: time together, in person, away from our usual routines.

The In Between grew from that idea. Slower days, honest conversation and room to think about what comes next. A city break offers a different setting for that same chance to meet people and share something new.

Hearing guests describe feeling welcome, making friendships and finding space to relax is what makes me want to keep doing this. Those are the things I hope people take home with them.

THINKING OF COMING ALONG?

A few things
you might be wondering.

Ask me a question
Can I come without knowing anyone?

Yes. People joined my previous experiences without knowing the rest of the group. If you’re thinking of coming on your own, get in touch and we can talk about the trip and the room or cabin options.

Do we do everything together?

There’ll be opportunities to spend time together and room to do your own thing. The balance depends on the experience. On the cruise, I’m planning a group dinner and informal meetups, with time to enjoy the ship and explore independently.

How do I join a trip?

Send me an enquiry about the experience you’re interested in. I’ll share the details, current availability and prices, and answer your questions. For plans marked TBC, you can register your interest or join the mailing list for updates.

Who are these experiences for?

If you like the idea of exploring somewhere with people to get to know along the way, have a look at what’s coming up. Each trip will have its own pace and arrangements. Ask me about the one you’re considering so we can work out whether it suits you.

What happens after I enquire?

I’ll reply by email with more information and the next steps for that experience. You can ask questions before deciding whether to book. Enquiring doesn’t reserve a place or commit you to a payment.
